Cream is a finish, applied over a solid-brass foundation. The surface you see is the finish; the substance you feel is the solid brass beneath.
Sits naturally against plaster, painted timber, pale stone and neutral schemes.
Clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive creams, solvents and metal polishes, which are not suitable for a finished surface.
