Gold is a finish, applied over a solid-brass foundation. It is not solid gold, and the handle beneath is not left as raw or unlacquered brass. The brass gives the piece its weight and balance; the Gold finish gives it its surface.
Gold sits naturally alongside warm timber, pale stone and plaster, and deeper, saturated wall colours.
Clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive creams, solvents and metal polishes, which are not suitable for a finished surface.
